CONCEPT

A butterfly valve is a type of flow control device,used to make a fluid start or stop flowingthrough a section of pipe. lt is well applied tostainless steel pipe systems for food, beverage,dairy, brewing, pharmaceutical,biopharmaceutical and chemical industries.

Min. product pressure:    Full vacuum, EPDM

Temperature range:    -10°C to +120°C

Actuator

Max. air pressure:     700 kPa (7 bar)

Min. air pressure, NC and NO:      400 kPa (4 bar)

Temperature range:   -25°C to +90°C

WORKING PRINCIPLE

Butterfly valves are valves with a circular body and a rotary motiondisk closure member which is pivotally supported by its stem. Buterfly valve is either remote-controlled by means of an actuator ormanually operated by means of a handle. The handle for manual operation mechanically locks the valve in itsfull open, half open and closed position. By rotating the handle, the motion disk either parallel or perpendicular to the flow of water, shutting off the flow. The actuator is designed so that an axial movement of a piston istransformed into a 90° rotation of a shaft. The torque of the actuator is increased when the valve disc contacts the seal ring of the butterfly valve.

OPERATION DESIGN

-The actuator is made in three standard versions, normally closed (NC), normally open (NO) and air/air activated (A/A).

- Electronic actuator avaliable in AC.24V, 110V, 220V, 380V or DC. 24V. 50Hz or 60Hz,action time: 9S, 10S, 13S, 15S, 20S, 25S, 30S, 50S, 60S and 100S

- Manually handle locks the valve in 3 position: Full open, half open and closed.*
